A heritage listed home in need of love and attention is a hugely rewarding challenge. Initial works on this project have included clearing the back of the block to allow for an extension while also protecting the 100 year old facade. This project will add a two-storey addition behind the facade, and the finished home will include 4 bedrooms with ensuites.
This project promises to be very special – we have already uncovered the original wine cellar. We even found a number of bottles of wine, still intact, and we’re sure the owner will give them pride of place when the cellar is fully restored!
The current stage of this project includes bringing the footings up to standard in the original section of the home before we move on to building the extension. The new two storey addition at the rear of the property features 4 bedrooms all with ensuites and walk in robes. The expansive additional living area boasts direct access to a private balcony.
This project presents many challenges in preserving this heritage home, but it has been exhilarating to uncover its rich history, including the discovery of an underground cellar.
